AKA, Marilyn Monroe.  Born Norma Jean Mortenson but raised as Baker.

Many of us know who she is but few of us know how many movies she had done and how much work she put into her acting.  Marilyn seemed to really try to obtain the tools needed to become a better actress attending a school in which she was only allowed to observe for the first year.  However, amidst her efforts to try to become a better actress towards the end of her career in ‘Some Like it Hot’ Marilyn was compared to kissing Hitler.  Her attention span was short and she was unable to obtain the attention span in order to speak her lines without having flash cards around the set.  She died at the young age of 36 but I often wonder how she would look when she was to have lived 50 or 60 years old.  She was beginning to gain weight and to look older than she was.  It is hard to understand where she would be and how her legacy would have held up today if she were not to have died.  Marilyn struggled with depression and substance abuse and you have to feel a little sorry for her constant search for love.  She only wanted to be taken as a serious actress with the love of anyone who could give her the love she needed and desperately searched for. 

Marilyn acted in and completed 32 movies and was working on the 33rd movie, ‘Something’s Got to Give’ when she was dismissed.  It was apparent that Fox was fed up with her inability to show up to work when she was supposed to and her lack of focus and concentration to remember her lines.  Shortly after Marilyn died alone in her bed, phone in hand and pills near by.  Speculation soon followed that it was not a suicide (accidental or intentional) but that her affair with then President Kennedy had led to her demise.  However she died it’s hard to not want to know where she may have ended up today.  Her legacy and face lives on and she may always live on in our hearts.  Only the test of time will tell.
